Conditional sentences type 3 formule
Conditional sentences type 3 descriu situații ipotetice în trecut care nu s-au întâmplat. Formula este: If + Past Perfect, would have + past participle.
Formule de bază
- Structura generală If + subiect + had + past participle, subiect + would have + past participle. Exemplu: If I had studied, I would have passed the exam.
- Explicația termenilor If = dacă (introduce condiția), had + past participle = Past Perfect (acțiune terminată înaintea alteia în trecut), would have + past participle = rezultat ipotetic.
- Exemplu numeric If she had saved money (condiție), she would have bought a car (rezultat). Valoare: saved (past participle de save) și bought (past participle de buy).
Variante ale formulei
- Cu "could have" If they had known, they could have helped. (Dacă ar fi știut, ar fi putut ajuta) - înseamnă posibilitate.
- Cu "might have" If I had left earlier, I might have arrived on time. (Dacă aș fi plecat mai devreme, poate aș fi ajuns la timp) - înseamnă probabilitate.
- Forma negativă If he hadn't been sick, he would have come to the party. (Dacă nu ar fi fost bolnav, ar fi venit la petrecere) - hadn't = had not.
