Reguli de formare a gradelor de comparație

• Adjective scurte (1-2 silabe) Pentru comparativ, adăugăm sufixul '-er' la adjectivul pozitiv (ex: tall -> tall**er**). Pentru superlativ, adăugăm 'the -est' (ex: tall -> the tall**est**). Exemplu: "old - old**er** - the old**est**". Atenție la regulile de ortografie (ex: big -> bigg**er**, happy -> happ**ier**).
• Adjective lungi (2+ silabe, majoritatea) Pentru comparativ, folosim 'more' înaintea adjectivului pozitiv (ex: beautiful -> **more** beautiful). Pentru superlativ, folosim 'the most' (ex: beautiful -> **the most** beautiful). Exemplu: "expensive - **more** expensive - **the most** expensive".
• Adjective neregulate Acestea nu respectă regulile de mai sus și trebuie memorate. Cele mai comune sunt: "good - better - the best", "bad - worse - the worst", "much/many - more - the most", "little - less - the least", "far - farther/further - the farthest/furthest".
